Do I install PestaRoo™ onto every machine?
No. You will install FileMaker on every machine, but PestaRoo™ only gets installed on one computer. The other computers access PestaRoo™ through FileMaker.
How do I “Save” my data?
PestaRoo™, through FileMaker, automatically does a save every few moments. There is no “Save” command.
Does PestaRoo™ have to be open in order for other computers to use it?
Yes.
How do I connect to PestaRoo™ that is running on a separate machine in my office?
Launch FileMaker on the second machine, and then pull down the File menu to “Open Remote”. Select “local Hosts” and then click on PestaRoo™.
Can I connect to PestaRoo™ from across the network, through a shared folder?
Never! This can permanently damage your data. Alwasy connect through the open remote method, or with a file launcher in order to protect your data.
Does every machine that needs to use PestaRoo™ need its own copy of FileMaker?
Yes.
Where do I type in my company name and address?
From Home Page Preferences.
How do I put in my own Logo?
Go to Home Pages “Set Preferences” button and then the Company Info tab. Click into the Logo field, and then select “Picture” from the Insert menu. Navigate to your graphic file and click open.
