Are Work Orders and Job Tickets the same thing?

Yes.

What are work orders as compared to invoices?

Work orders are what we intend to do on a given date; invoices describe work we’ve actually done and need payment for.

Do I need special pre-printed work order forms?

No. PestaRoo™ automatically prints on blank, inter leaved, NCR paper. This is carbonless paper that we print on both copies through the laser printer while allowing the technician to make notes on both copies without using carbons. It works wonderful.

When are work orders normally printed?

The last thing the night before the work is to be done. PestaRoo™ automatically sorts them by technician, date, and time.

Can I use my own work order form that I’ve already designed?

PestaRoo™ has been designed around a special work order form that was created for maximum clarity, flexibility, and attractiveness, eliminating the need for costly pre-printed custom work order forms. The savings of not using pre-printed forms are greater than the entire cost of PestaRoo™.

What products will appear on each work order?

Every work order has a custom list of products preselected for the pest to be controlled. This list of products comes from two sources: products you have designated for this type of pest, and products you want to always see on every work order. Of course the EPA, numbers, and application rates are automatically printed to save the technician time. This custom product list for every work order is a feature purely unique to PestaRoo™.

Why are work orders printed on NCR paper?

Your technician will typically carry their work orders in enclosed metal clipboards. They will generally mark the products used with quantities, make appropriate notes as to locations and methods, and sign the work order. Your technician will leave one copy with the customer at the location, bringing one copy back to the office to use for posting the invoice. Ideally, the customer will immediately pay form his/her copy of the work order, allowing the technician to return with payment.

What is the difference between work orders and route sheets?

Work orders are printed on NCR paper and one copy is left at the location of treatment. The work order is where your technician writes the amounts and types of products used. The route sheet however is printed on plain paper, includes confidential information, driving directions, and gives the sequence of your technician’s work. In other words, a route sheet is a one or two page summary of the work flow of the day.
